Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    • I don't see how that's possible without airbag suspension. Unless of course you don't actually want to drive the car...

I'm keen to see more old beetles like the rsuty-front-end one that is in one of the general threads atm. Anyone got pics like that?

There was one in the previous month's PVW. 'Bagged grey Mk2 Jetta Coupe on Borbet Type A, 16x9 all around, and I think it was tucking rim!

                • It's a pretty ultimate status Wabit, that's for sure. Although I'd probably always prefer slight driveability hehe.

Ray, those photo's you threw up are awesome. The moving fish-eye shot made me dizzy hahaha

Exactly right, it does give you BALLER status but you can't drive on that unless the road is smooth and you don't hit any bumps or anything. You will bash the quarter panel, and seriously damage the wheel

[EDIT]: THIS WAS NOT A DEROGATORY COMMENT. IT WAS MY OPINION AND I AM ENTITLED TO IT. NO RULES WERE BEING BROKEN. It's no different to saying Hitler's mission was a sad mission, or George W's mission was a sad mission. If comments are going to be removed simply because people disagree with them, then this is not a forum and I will take no further part.

Imagine if you will 2 mk1 sitting in the driveway.
