nothing like like blowing someone away with something that looks
like it should be at the tip
I love the V8 stuff now more than ever. To easy to make cheap power with bolt on part's eg. Stock LS2 6.0L (VZ Commodore) with L92 American Chevy truck heads & a Comp. Cam kit = 540+hp & 460+lb-ft for less than $9K incl. buying a LS2 crate motor!
More V8 stuff later on though.
Change of pace.
This was once my ultimate car that got me inspired along time ago.
Even though the side GTI stripes are upside down!!!
Stock stroke & bore 308, but very nicely modified none the less. The 308 was a nitrous built engine & only tuned it for a 100hp hit of gas & ran 10.27 @ 132mph turning the tyres with a fried convertor & auto. The engine was built to take a 400hp hit.
Sadly though it never got a chance to run again & burnt to the ground about 2 month's after this photo.
Another one.
RX3 13B Extend Port TA45. In race tune (C16) made 411rwkw's & ran 10.01 @ 141mph on a easy pass.
I had the opportunity to drive this a few times & I'll say that this was one hell of a street car. In street tune with 15psi made an easy 280rwkw's & was bloody scary as hell to go in. Could out run a GXR 750 on the street with a full car load.
Another friend's machine (& awesome engine builder too!) & a real sleeper!
All home built VF Valiant. This was built & raced a very long time ago but still very impressive to this day. This car was sold a couple of month's ago.
His philosophy was simple. Build a true sleeper street car. Even still retained a column shift auto!
Drive the car everyday, be good on fuel, drive to track, race & drive home, be reliable & not have to change any of the setup to race (even the tyres). A real 100% street cruiser car.
VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life There are few things more satisfying in life than finding a solution to a problem and implementing it
