Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Been in Kyoto for about half a week now - my kid sister just won a 4 year scholarship to study at uni here. I've never been here before - some of my inspirational observations:
1. crappy supermarket sashimi D7CKS on melbourne's best restaurant quality stuff - at 1/10th the price.
2. the roads are so smooth and consistent - it's no wonder VIP style actually works round here (as opposed to australia, where your car just looks clownish and your suspension and back get f7cked).
3. riding 20kms a day on a pushbike is part of daily life - doesnt feel like 20kms though, the scenery in Kyoto is way too pretty.
4. I wanted to buy local p8rn. Best place? circle K? nope..... Seven 11? nope...... Lawson Convenience? nope....... "Family Mart"..... YEP!!!!!!
If you've ever had any inclination to visit asia, you need to get yo arse to Japan, and Kyoto... mind-blowing!
