I just cancelled a planned trip to Falls Creek (from Perth) - decided we couldnt really afford it.

However, I am of to Hakuba in January, and have now booked a week in Thredbo next June (hopefully there will be snow!)

That means 17 months since my last trip - I hope I can survive it

Hey Gareth i might be visiting around then - my old man wants to check Hakuba out early next year, and we're going to be there anyway to visit my sister - she's moving to kyoto for 4 years so now more than ever, it'll be japan that we go to.

You'll be fine. you sound like you stay fit etc - that's the biggest thing, i think. i havent been on the snow for a whole year, but i've lost a teensie bit of weight and i know that i'll be able to ride better than i have for the last... long time.
