2004 M3 or GOLF R?

    Agree completely, I had a 1995 E36 M3 as well before the E46 and when the Vanos was starting to show signs of impending failure (around 140 000km and it was mildly modded) I sold it immediately. Got quoted many many thousands of $$$ to replace it.

    Depending on the milage and how hard it was driven for those miles an E46 M3 would be pretty bulletproof to at least 160 000km.
