Images depicting VWWatercooled - Business Cards

I'm putting together a business card for VWWatercooled that can be used to stick under wipers or given to friends/family. Once they are all done members will be able to grab them at cost price if they are so inclined.

But the important thing. I'm looking for an image that you think defines VWWatercooled to be used for the full colour front of the card. I need a decent sized image, but then even the cheapest camera's from the last few years should be more than enough for a business card sized image.

So, what have you got? Post up a low res copy here and if I like it I'll ask for a full res copy to be emailed


I'm also on the hunt for a good business card printer, so far I have quotes ranging from about $0.072 to $0.094 per card (full colour front with a gloss laminate + BW back). For those that are interested this would result in cards costing about $7-$10 per 100 cards shipped to your door.

Maybe I should just engage Lorenz services since he put together half of the forum banners and they are fantastic

I think what would look better is to have the image faded (20%-80% transparent) while keeping the VWW sign and the VAG logos solid. To me, the solid picture background makes it look messy and distracting. Maybe it's just my preference for more abstract-looking cards.

Honestly, I dont think it needs a full blown image in the background.
VWW logo and maybe the brand logos may be enough. Possibly an outline or simple image in the background.

As Ray said, it looks too busy.

Agreed, can't seem to find anything I like that isn't just a single vehicle.

I cant see the images above but if youre going to do something like this perhaps look at employing the services of one of the graphic designers members we have here. If it ends up looking ordinary then it will have less chance of having the desired effect.

Consider it putting something back into the community that have put so much time/money/loyalty into the site.

Id be careful using any of VWs logos or material from their websites. Car companies tend to be a litigious bunch!

I think either a Mk6 or Mk1/2 dubb style would be ideal. I don't know if someone's nice looking car that is mid-range, mid-series would be grabbing enough.
