Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

what youve said rocket is absolutlely correct, nobody is questioning it.

I think the bulk of the objections are about the way you go about saying it (and most things). you tend to sound like an 18th century british school master, or a queens councillor (with wig on) addressing a judge.

And besides, everything i've said on here is a complete and utter lie, internet forum chat stuff - in reality, just becuase you read it on the net, doesnt make it true

yeah. travel while you can. dont do the filipino thing of never travelling, but rather spending money on gold and watches and 60'' plasma tv's and useless crap like that. memories are far more valuable.

how small a lead? as small as say..... a wrist watch mentioned on a isht-talking [90% of the time] car enthusiasts forum, with a pic from some online catalogue?

i dont think anyone will dispute what you're saying, but it's just.... a watch. it's not like they're gonna raid his house and give him cavity searches, resulting in some landmark crackdown on an illegal network of people who have feloniously been packing millions of dollars in cash up their clackers....

at the same time, though, i think that it'd be nice if you werent insulted so frequently, but rather thanked and appreciated for the fact that you ARE a community member, and generously providing insight and expressing concern for your fellow community members, which is alright in my book

Jesus Rocket, they must have given you a hell of a time at Point Cook and Sale for you to have the distinct lack of sense of humour that you have... You remind me of Rimmer off Red Dwarf, except far less funny...

I'm sure you have never dodged up a tax return as much as you claim to never have gone over the speed limit...

            Lol.

I keep finding myself J-Walking only to see a Police car go by and take no notice. Should I be worried too?

Very, very nice gareth. I'm a bit of a watch nut and have an Oris as well. It's an Oris BC4 in Black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon). The black is a little less blingy especially for a watch sized at 46mm which I like. Oris is a quality company who specialize only in mechanical movements i.e. they have no battery or quartz operated watches in their line-up.

They have a number of limited editions that never appear on on their website the most recent one is an 18k gold COSC certified TT3 to commemorate their partnership with the BMW/Williams F1 team.

Very nice team_v. I prefer a sporty watch and really appreciate the technicals of a high-tech watch. lots of complications, exotic materials in the constructions etc. And there are some that are simply works of technological art, like this Greubel Forsey Quad Tourbillion:

....you'd be suprised what people tell you about their 'tax evasion'...over the years on Building sites, I've heard just about everything...and as my old man was a CPA [cert. pract. accountant]in his working life, I'd always joke to the d**khead bragging to me that my dad was the Deputy Commissioner of the ATO....

that always made them shut the f**k up pretty quickly.............
