LOL!!! Haven't used IE for at least 4 years now and I've never missed a Microsoft update yet...

Actually IE8 is pretty good. I use it as my second browser after Chrome. Firefox is a bit too bloated and clunky now and can't be bothered with Safari.

But the ads!!! AdBlockPlus and FireFox is pure WIN! You don't get a faster browsing experience than that compbo simply because no ads load... Plus you save on bandwidth with some many images/sounds etc not being loaded.

Doing tech support I have all the browsers across a whole pile of VM's. It's handy to be able to boot into another OS/browser to see how something works/looks.

For myself I use Firefox first and Safari second (becuase I'm a Mac Man ). At work it's Firefox then IE.

In reality I don't have major issues with any of them, they all seem to do what I need when I need it, but then I don't use much other than Firefox full time so the others are for testing for simple tasks to "check" something.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
