              Homelink control details

I picked up a sunvisor Homelink module on eBay for $20, and wired it into the car. The knee panel next to the Headlight switch comes out pretty easy, and I simply mounted it through some holes I cut with a Dremel tool. I wired it directly into a non-switched fuse using an "Add-a-Circuit" tap.

You took the words right out of my mouth !

Having those parking buttons is all very nice, but unlike those, at least my buttons are useful !

Anyone got these? Looked at the seats in my mk6, and there is already an indentation there ready to go for a logo of some sort.

Edit: I have those stickers from aesthetic creations too. Makes me smile every time i see them.
                  i bought it as well

Where can I get the shift knob? I hate the Tbar style! I wouldn't mind the shift mechanism too. The DSG puts the shifter too far away from you in manual mode I reckon!

Yeah - it's obviously designed for American and European peeps who drive on the left side of the road!

Yeah, I hate that. Like most stereos have their most used buttons on the left. Grrrr ....

but both the LHD/RHD have the manual mode away from the driver. If it was the same shift pattern, then I could understand, but they change it LH/RHD. I wonder how hard it would be to get the LHD shifter mech...

Reckon something like this would be plug and play?
VW Jetta Golf DSG Automatik Schaltbox Schaltbetätigung - eBay Getriebe, Antrieb, Motor Getriebe, Auto-Ersatz- -Reparaturteile, Auto Motorrad Teile. (end time 01-Jun-10 21:21:12 AEST)
Obviously you'd need the shifter cover, but otherwise...??
