  • How does the rating system work re number of posts?

At what number of posts do I need to no longer be a newbie and then where does it go from there?
    Just curious.

    Thankyou all.

IIRC the increments are 100, 500, 1,000, 2,000 etc. I could be wrong though.

Does time have anything to do with it?
I've seen other users with less posts that are already Dubbers.
Also seen Volkswagen fans with less than 100 posts.

I keep meaning to add this information to the rules thread since I get asked every now and again. Time plays no role in the rankings, it's purely based on post count. It should also be noted that certain areas of the forum do not count towards your post count, for example the General Chat section.

At the moment the ranks look like this:

        0 - New Dubber
        20 - Dubber
        50 - Volkswagen Fan
        500 - Volkswagen Enthusiast
        1000 - Volkswagen Fanatic
        2000 - Volkswagenist
        4500 - Ultimate Dubber

If any of the more creative types out there want to put together a new scheme with new names I'll consider updating them to something new It's also worth adding in an extra level or two at say 100 and 250 posts.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Aaron, are you sure that time plays no part?
As an example, I have 83 posts (not including the generral section) and am still listed as a Newbie.

I've seen others with over 100 and are also listed as newbie's

Feel free to slap me down for being an annoying bi$%h, just a little confused as by your reply, I thought I'd be a VW fan.
