This thread is a repeat of an old one that seems to have gone missing.

              I'll play too.
              (I might forget a few)

              1965 Standard Beetle
              1965 Deluxe Beetle
              1966 Notch back
              1966 Fastback
              1969 Split screen Westfalia camper
              1967 Split screen Microbus
              1972 Type 3 Auto Wagon
              1973 TLS (Injected) Fastback
Datsun 180B SSS jointly owned race car
              1978 Porsche 924
              1979 Porsche 924
              1973 Type 3 Wagon
A whole bunch of work Commodore and Falcon wagons, An Hiace or 2, some sort of truck, a couple of utes, a ford panel van etc.
              1979 MK1 GLD
              1979 MK1 GLD
              1979 MK1 GLD
              1979 MK1 GLD
1979 MK1 GLD (I think that's about the right number, there's 3 in the drive right now)
              1976 MK1 2 Door
              1976 MK1 2 Door
              1959 Beetle (Jodies)
              2005 Bora V6 4 Motion
              1980 B1.5 Passat (Jodies)

Got a feeling I might have had a T2 kombi once.

I'm also not acknowledging the Camira and Matiz that belonged to a former partner. The cars and partner were of similar reliability.

There was also a few more I wrecked that I've not bothered listing.

My car history is pretty short as I am still young. lol First Car: 1994 Mitsubishi Galant (Typical Japanese reliability until I crashed it)

Second Car: 2006 Polo GTI (Good Fun owned for over a year)

Current Car: 2004 Mk 4 R32 (Always wanted one since they were first released into Australia, and finally in a postion to purchase so I did.) I planning to keep this car for a long time yet, possibly get something smaller and nimbler to use as well as a daily.

There is a Past Rides Picture Thread. But yeah not so handy if you don't have or don't want to post up pictures.
                  1. 1995 Mitsubishi Magna GLX (surely the only "normal" new car being sold in Australia in '95 with a carbie).
                  2. 2004 VW Golf R32 (you know the details).

                  Cheers,

1983 Mitsubishi Scorpion 2.6 manual in Arctic White (Still owned, and restored)
1983 Holden Commodore SL/E 5.0 Auto in Indigo (Still owned, restoring slowly)
1988 Mitsubishi Magna Elante 2.6efi Manual in White (Sold, I hated working on this pr*ck of a car, had the best seats I have ever sat in though)
1988 VL Commodore Berlina RB30 Auto in Red (Gave to my sister - Stolen, rot in hell you b#stards)
1994 Ford Fairmont Wagon 5.0 Manual in White (Sold, I still regret it........)

2009 Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0FSI Manual in Sprint Yellow (Current car)

I dont think I've had too bad a run with cars, not one of the cars listed above ever failed to proceed and get me where I needed to go..... Of all of them, I want to buy my Fairmont back, It had GT40 alloy heads and a sweet cam, I still know the old bloke who bought it from me, he babies it like I did and with a bit of luck I might get a call one day to buy it back

Ive only ever owned one motorcycle, and I still have it, 2008 Yamaha FZ-6 in Candy White (Its a naked sports bike, sort of like an R6 with no fairings) a nice day off riding weapon.

Listed over in the thread but...

2000-2005 - 1972 1300 VW Beetle - reliable as hell but rusty and needed plenty of mechanical repairs (sold 2008 for $300) - 1st car at age 24 or so, only a couple of months after getting my Ps

2005-current - 1976 LS 3 door golf - 4th owner, 115,000km when I got it, very reliable, source of much admiration, but currently burns a bit too much oil and is getting to be a bit of a chore in stop/start traffic.

Other notable cars in my family:

My brother had 2 Datsun 1600s - sedan (written off) and wagon (AWOL). Family car at one time was 180B wagon that I drove a little bit. Full of rust, probable blown head gasket, but just kept on going.

My dad's first car was a brand new 196-something Triumph Herald.

My grandpa had a 1963 Hillman Minx from new until he stopped driving around 1998 or so, aged in his late nineties.

My other brother also had a Hillman Hunter that was the biggest lemon in the family.

Now my family only has boring Corollas, Commodores and Magnas
