I'm an engineer and a perfectionist dude. It's what I do.

Oh yeah Preeny they've got drag racing and oval racing. Not a lot but they're their. In multiplayer as well.
The Datto 510 seems to be the record holder at the moment with 8 second passes.
I'm currently in the process of turning my 1970 Chevelle SS 454 (LS5) into a drag beasty. It's putting out 609kW and 1047.6Nm of torque. Runs a 12.8 at the moment. But the suspension is so wallowy it just squats massively off the line. It's also bored out to 7.6L at the moment.
Need to run through the suspension and weight reduction line of mods though but am lacking in funds.

        Cheers,
        Trent

Do you realise what this means for me? I will HAVE to purchase it soon. Even though i have limited time to play it..

          Heh...
          Thought that'd be the case.
Not only do they have V8 Supercars but also stock cars. Monte Carlo SS, Charger and Fusion. Awesome.

I won't even play the V8 supercars bit out of principle. Atleast the American Stock Cars admit they are no longer modified production cars...

Sounds good might buy it later in the week...

Here is some stuff my bro found on the net about GT5:

The game is also said to feature head tracking using the PlayStation Eye allowing the player to move his/her head around the 3D cockpit instead of using buttons.

Gran Turismo 5 will be the first game in the Gran Turismo franchise to include both mechanical and external damage modeling, including a real-time deformation engine that will process model deformation according to the speed and angle of impact.

Gran Turismo 5 is set to feature over 950 cars (more than twise FM3) and 20 track locations, with variations bringing the number of unique circuits to 70. The Top Gear Test Track, Dunsfold Park located in the UK, the test track of the British automotive television show Top Gear, will be included in the game.

The only problem is it will probably be out mid-early next year.

Im looking forward to playing FM3 while i wait for GT5, im glad they re-introduced the 1/4mile.

If its anything like GT2 (yes the PS1 version) It'll be about 30-40 Euro's and around 550 odd obscure Japanese makes ranging from about 6 different Suzuki wagon R's, to JTCC's. Although fun as it was, didn't really interest me at the time as it wouldn't now...

I still want it badly though, and my TV is a $200 ALDI jobbie, which makes me feel that much worse when I'm on the PS3...

Alot of them are veriations of the same cars. eg. Silvia R, Silvia K, RS6, RS6 Avant, Subaru WRX Spec C, Subaru WRX etc etc. Alot of old cars too. GT4 had the first 2 cars ever, running on steam with big wooden wheels. Your never guna use all the cars but its cool to have them there.

Not realy a bad thing imo.

It's cool and i know it's mainly a selling point. Some times it is interesting to check out that kind of stuff.

There will be a lot of Japanese cars no doubt, but there is also Ferraris (Namely the 458 Italia), Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Bugattis, a ton of audis, the new mercedes SLS, toyotbru FT-86, and all in crazy detail. Plus about one million Nissan skylines

The 458 Italia will be out as DLC for Forza 3 soon enough.

I have to say though, my favourite track in F3 is the Maple Leaf Short Circuit.

It has just the right amount of corners, slope and straights to make it enjoyable to drive in any vehicle.
Plus you can fang the tail end out on a RWD car around half the corners so it is driftable.

They should offer you a job in sles/marketing!!! Can't say anything bad about the game, and you are hooked! lol

Maple's not bad. The left hand hairpin is lots of fun in a WRX or Evo... I reef on loads on handbrake there just for fun.

I love the Kaido hillclimb circuit. It has everything, wide open corners, hairpins, off camber tightening-radius bends, jumping crests, tunnels and some seriously steep gradients.

I haven't had the chance to race on Kaido yet, must try it out when i prep a RWD car for drifting.

I have mainly been playing through on career mode.
