I did the oval races with my R32, now doing Kaido hillclimb circuits in it lol.
The oval races were okay but i kept slipping out on some of the shorter corners.
I hadn't upgraded my tyre compund or wheel width so that could have been a problem.

I just did the max tyre width and compound on my lotus and it grips like nothing else, awesome car to drive along the amalfi coast road.
I actually enjoy it more than the R36TT Golf and my 5L V8T Focus RS

Well there's still definitely still some bugs happening. Had the game lock up on me twice today in the lobby while waiting for a game to start. Also the painting of the Bugatti Veryon they give you doesn't work. Trying to paint it all black (factory colour) and it won't change from the secondary red colour.

Oh well still lots of fun. Lots of tools in the lobbies and the matchmaking doesn't work a damn. I love racing against cars 5 seconds a lap faster than me and only finish half the races I partake in.

At least they've got a lobby mode now where collisions are turned off so all carnage disappears (even if it is only A class clothes).

      Cheers,

I was doing the rally di Positano and the floor dissapeared in the tunnel so i was driving on nothing.

Bit of a glitch but i managed to get out of it.

R3 class cars are the shiz.
My Porche flying lizard destroys anything at the moment but i just wona ferrari Fxx which is even btter lol.

It just sucks having to go back to e class cars for some races, my poor fiesta was strugling in the kaido hillclimb.

Best courses are the Rally Di Positano reverse C, Kaido D and Nordschliefe

I had a go at a replica 2000 Possum Bourne WRC car last night. Please excuse very ordinary phone pics...

          Real car:

          Replica 22B

It's a very fun car to drive. More than 300kw with skinny stock tyres and suspension on full soft, full high. Tips around like a boat.

Had a whirl in some of the other cars in free mode yesterday.

The Mines R34 GTR is great, has enough power to fang the back end out but still keep it in control.

the JGTC R35 is exceedingly overpowered, any acceleration when the wheels are turned and you lose it.

The Rally Di Positano is fun for stage C due to the 2 or 3 big jumps you can do, but the paved roads are a bitch to driv e on in cars with lots of power or no handling upgrades.

The Porsche R3 class flying lizard is probably the best car i have used in the game.

Going back to F Class races (80k credits instead of 14k for the other races) is a huge difference. Cars top out at 160km/h and have trouble accelerating lol.

Its fun to try other cars. I think the Lotus Evora is nothing less than sublime!
I've also pared back my Golf VI GTI - 300kw was too much. 200kw and stock tyres is much more fun, particularly around the tighter tracks.

I've done a lot of miles around Le Mans too (over 100 laps easy) and I still get a kick out of the right-kink before Indianapolis and the entire Porsche Curves segment. My God what a track!

i havent played it much lately but have punted some R1 stuff around Le Man's a bit. It's a fun circuit, but I'm yet to master it.

I'm not a fan of any porsche. I try but I just dont take well to the rear engined thing. It makes the handling really odd for me.

In other news, I <3 the Audi DTM car. I want it's babies.

wow - i've been holding out on FM3 since i have FM2 but havnt finished it yet (i mean, uni's been in the way, and i hardly get a chance to play it) but after reading about it here i think tomorrow i'm going shopping for it.

                    i love FM2 - and i finished FM1 aswell....

anyone do up the old Regal for dragging? in FM1 (and 2 i think) you can fit 475 rears i think does fat blackies

i think we ought to start a VWW FM3 championship (once i get my copy, ofcourse

oh btw - my fave car both of all time and in forza, is the Lotus Esprit, probably followed closely by the Jag XJ220. I reckon i'm fastest generally (on all tracks) in the esprit though.

trick is to start with a nice one like a 70's 911. drive it stock a little bit, then do the suspension, drive it some more. work your way up gradually with the power upgrades. the porsche thing seems to come with practice, but once your there they are hard to beat. my best nurbugringcar is a porsche, and thats an unforgiving track. i find the standout thing is to get the spring balance right, and dont go too hard on the rears, even though the weight distribution might seem to indicate you ought to. add a little bump stiffness to the rear but back of the spring rate a little, and also dont make the front ride too low.

oh, and ofcourse watch out for the boost spike when your mid corner.

So stupid Xbox Australia decide that every other country in the world will let silver members download the Hyundai Genesis pack but Aus silver members are not allowed.

Free DLC and we can't even get it.
Just have to stick to my Mines R34 for slideways action.

Maple Short Circuit reverse i managed a sideways car for almost a whole lap.
Getting used to it before i take on the Kaido and aim for the 100,000 point drift achievement.

Also discovered R2 and R1 class cars have serious traction issues.
The AM DBR9 loses control off the line lol.
                            Same as the JGTC R35

Thats why you have to be GENTLE with accelerator, just like the IRL racers do

It seems like the multiplayer scene has died in the arse. Having trouble finding quality racers or even a decent ammount of players. The game hasnt even been out for 3 months

I'm not really sure what happened.
I think it was becasue i was playing ont he amalfi coast (cobled roads) in free play as opposed to actual race because this arvo i blitzaed with the DBR9.
It could have been the minor tweaks (lower tyre pressyre and adjusted gear ratios etc.

                                I got the hyundai pack.
All 3 suck, if you want drifty action, go the Mines R34, the rhys myllen car is terrible.
