Very true. Looking at the pictures it looks like a pretty decent sized road, not a suburban area (not that you can see all that much). While I'm not condoning driving like an idiot, from those photo's it could very well be a very long 4 lane wide stretch of road where those speeds are somewhat more understandable and coupled with the lack of experience and an amount of bad luck has seen things end in this way. The same end result could easily be acheived on a freeway/motorway with a light poll. (from memory that half a Ferrari is from an overpass on a freeway??)

Don't get me wrong, driving like a bat out of hell will always increase your risk and the risk of all other road users which is why we have road rules including speed limits.

When it comes to driving too fast, it's never the speed that kills you but the sudden stop at the end of it all and lets face it... they stopped pretty damn quick.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

If anyone but him had been in the car they would have been killed... this is why "if" you are going to do silly things on a public road, do it by yourself.

              * note the seconds photo, the wheel in the wheel arch, except its the wheel from the other side of the car flipped around, ended up in exactly the right spot :O

Here is what the 34 used to look like.

I know the car is "famous", not sure what the injury/death toll was like though
                Savage savage stuff.

So i'm guessing it wasn't a GTI if it only had 170hp (can't always believe what's said in the news though).

as i know the story of the R34 is that the owner had to go somewhere by plane and left the car with his son (he told him not to drive it), so he did. He also had a pregnant lady in the car (married?) and they crashed and both died...

160 into a tree kills you just as effectively with or without a turbo and I'm more than confident that any Falcadore can easily hit 160.

Its worse than that. There were two blokes in the front and a pregnant 15yo girl in the back (bit suss). Four deaths.
