Looks good, the question is do you have any SACD's? My Denon dvd player also plays them but have never bothered buying any.

Cambridge Audio gear is good, wouldn't mind upgrading components to CA down the track and a CA DACMagic for the PC setup.

most audio super audio lol cds (sacd) ,you dont get many of these but the ones you do are generally are music like pink floyd , rem , fleetwood mac ect.. but stil have the most purity..... a less power consumption than ordinary players , the less power consumption the less static and power noise through your cables ,

if anyone has the chance to listen to autechre on hi end stereo then this electronic outfit will test your system and stuff your head with buzz , speakers will last you a life time

I think most of home audio is a toss to be honest and the main benefit of SACD would be higher frequency response and dynamic range than over conventional CDs.

Just thought it was funny you mentioned it as some players may support the format but it's never taken off and most people wouldn't go to the effort of buying a SACD title (I haven't and as you say there'd only be a limited selection).

Full quality Cd's or lossless files would be quite good enough and you can always improve other components/speakers/amps etc. I wouldnt mind an CA Azur 640C but also use my PC as source more these days but plenty of audiophiles like using original cds not mp3's etc..

SACD is an audibly superior format... unfortunately no good content is recorded on it (only classical rubbish ).

thats true i have never got into mp3 format until now ! being from a vinyl listener , but getting hold of mp3 and cd format is easy and digital which is all good ,but listening to vinly is just as good , and better to find that hidden track and dropping tha needle onto the groove !

i think too that recordings from the 70s and through to now are just as clear and well produced with what they had then till what they get now

im just a sample junkie , but havent got any time for car hi fi , casset playa and amp in a car is just fine too,
