Do you watch Top Gear for the celebrities? That's like getting Playboy for the articles.

I forgot it was on and randomly flicked over & caught a segment the recycled from the English version, using a V8 to power things. Not funny, not original bit **** really.Originally posted by team_v View PostApparnetly hte Australian version also started last night or something but who even watches that cr4p.
Mightycarmods is much more entertaining.

Ok, I will admit that I watched it last night to see if it was really any different. Unfortunately it was not. Rather than craft soemething that is unique but along the lines of the original, it ended up being a bit of a giggle session.Originally posted by team_v View PostApparnetly hte Australian version also started last night or something but who even watches that cr4p.

Now next week they are supposed to be testing the Amarok, and from the teaser given, they thrashed it somewhat. So, if someone offers you a really cheap Amarok, it might just be the one tested on TG-A.
It is almost as though they cannot find a car manufacturer willing to supply a vehicle for testing as with the first series, they damaged the vehicles that were supplied. As a result, they try and dream up rubbish. I mean, they used an old Falcon ute for Andy (Hamish and Andy) to do his celebrity lap.
I might watch it next week to see how the Amarok went, but will record it and FFW to the test and then skip the rest.

episode 7 is pretty good and my dads lucky enough to have driven that EXACT LFA, he said it was pretty good but there was no way he'd ever spend that much money (even if he could afford it) on a toyota... no matter how good it is... ill see if i can find the pictures he sent me of it2014 Golf GTI PP - Pure White

I actually really enjoyed this episode.Originally posted by Corey_R View PostWatched the latest Top Gear USA (ep 7). Finally a great celebrity
The rest of the "Beat Tanner" episode was good too
The beat Tanner x 3 challenges were enjoyable, the real life vs video game thing has not been done that i know of on the UK version.
Infineon is a great track, i am going to spend a lot of time on that one in forza 4 if i get it.
Skipped the star again, that part is a real bore for me.

Yeah, I must admit, the LFA does nothing for me....Originally posted by Cookie28 View Postepisode 7 is pretty good and my dads lucky enough to have driven that EXACT LFA, he said it was pretty good but there was no way he'd ever spend that much money (even if he could afford it) on a toyota... no matter how good it is... ill see if i can find the pictures he sent me of it
It can be hard to tell from the "snippets" you see on the show, but I was actually shocked at how bad the Forza 4 representation of Infineon is. I'm very familiar with that track, having watched races from there since it was called Sears Point and was lucious and green. But yeah, it's as if they've just looked at pictures of the track and made it up from there.... Forza people need to make sure they never look at iRacing... lol.Originally posted by team_v View PostInfineon is a great track, i am going to spend a lot of time on that one in forza 4 if i get it.

Watched almost all of Top Gear Australia last night and I am amazed how they managed to make a test where they ragged an R8 V10 and an Amarok boring. It was cringe worthy
And the Red Back Spider supercar section. This is 'the most beautiful car in built in Australia"

Are they serious?!?! No doubt it's well engineered but look at it!
Sorry but the whole show is just a little bit patronising, as in "hey, you like cars, your an Aussie, then you'll love this because its got a V8"

S2 Ep 8 of Top Gear US is out now.
I actually found it genuinely enjoyable.
No forced laughs but plenty of hilarious moments.
Star segment still sucks though.
