The rear swaybar in conjunction with a front strut brace gives your polo a lot more of a smooth turn in on a corner (more predictable ... even under acceleration).

The lift-off oversteer you may have read much about in these forums happens very infrequently and I would suspect only in cases where the driver was exceding their driving abilities.

Even my 2.slow pitches up enough that under full acceleration I can't see the rear view mirror properly because of the angle
The springs should help a bit with that and so will stickier tires but thats a fundemental characteristic of FWD's and Dubs in general. Learn to like it, because unless you can resist using even 1/2 throttle then it aint gonna go away!

Yeah that was my guess. (just didn't want to say it) Hence what i said about understeering cars..

Yeah I know what you mean ... springs may help with that ... but, for some reason, I don't get much 'nose-lift' even under heavy acceleration. So I'm not sure what to recommend.

Yeah, well basically as i'm guessing you know the more weight that transfers the the back, the less grip the front has under acceleration, so going a bit lower will help, because it lowers the centre of gravity, which means it take more force to tip the chassis. And stiffer springs will help because they help give resistance to rear weight transfer too.

No worries. Any time you need info i'll try and help.

As for saying that you don't know anything, everyone starts off knowing nothing. If you ask questions, you'll learn. If you act like you know everything, you'll never learn and everyone will think you're a tool.

I'll be interested to see how you go and what you think.

                      Thanks mate!

Well being a girl my knowledge base isn't as extensive or on par with most guys..

But I'd rather get laughed at for being clueless rather than being a tool but who cares anyway.. I'm learning, I enjoy my car and want to get the most out of it while i can

You'd be surprised how little some guys know about their own cars.. It's just that mechanical stuff generally interests guys more, so they are more willing to learn about it.

I think i just likened you to a guy then. Not really sure though. I'm pretty tired..

Just lop 2 coils off with the 9 inch!

"race" springs? I take it that's H&R's flash name for them?
