      Nice car mate. Overheating issues always start with cheapest fix first if no one knows what it may be.


      It has water / coolant anti freeze.

      All hoses are secure and not crimped anywhere preventing water flow. (Radiator, heater etc)

      Bad timing? too far retarded

      Radiator cap ensure it is releasing pressure, I do not know what Golf cap is set at. An example would be 11lbs pressure. If suspect replace it.

      Thermostat, does it have one? is it working replace if suspect.

      I am not sure how many welsh plugs a Golf engine has need to confirm none are leaking.

      Water pump?

      Head gasket?

      It is a process of elimination if you have no tell tale signs unfortunately

      That is all I can think of ( and I am no mechanic)

        Problem solved, turns out it was a simple mistake made by me, which we wont get into You get that when your a newbie i guess!

              yeah, i hope i pass! mods have been hard, havent got much $. If i get paid at some bloody point ill hopefully have some new tail/head lights. And im gettin some clear indicators asap.
