Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • My Golf VR6

Heres a few shots of my 1994 VR6 Golf.
These are the results of spending the day detailing inside and out.
Started of using meguiars quik clay detailer and then NXT wax/polish.
Then buffed by hand and began detailing trims (skirts, tyres, flares, bumpers)
Followed by cleaning inside (vacuum, interior clean) And lastly windows.
    ....long day!

and yes, it does need to be lowered, im working on that part

      Looking good!

      Must be those swish headlights

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

yeah thats on the "to do" list, picked them up from The_Hawk last week, I gave them a quick coat of black. Just have to find an auto paint place that will supply me the right colour.
anyone know good places in melb to do this? I know milsomes charge $30 to match.

I think just about every VR6, no matter what colour, is hard to keep clean. Great looking car, I had a look at this colour car before getting mine and it was beautiful!
