Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • 230bhp+ Caddy 2k Van with a few choice mods!

You have all seen the Darkside Jetta - http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...pds-63946.html

Thought it was about time I posted a topic about my other project. Its just about finished now, getting the stickers on today and drag racing on Sunday at Santa Pod, anything in the 14's will do me as its a heavy bugger!! Taking the Jetta too with a few tweeks so hope to beat the 13.8 we did last year in that!

    (steering wheel changed since!!)

Bought it as a Boggo 1.9 TDI 105PS 5 Speed with a blown engine. Over the last few months when I have had time (only a week or two work in it really) I converted it to a 2.0 16v BKD Engine, 6 Speed Box, big turbo kit, widetrack etc

Here is the website link, will keep that updated if we do anything else:
    Caddy Mk3 2.0 16v TDI (BKD)

Paintless Dent Removal by Dent Removal & Car Dent Repair In Nottingham, Derby & Heanor

It will eventually get a GTB2260VK turbo and Race PD Injectors so 300hp+ the same as the Jetta now, but I like the way the smaller turbo spools instantly so its staying like this while I use it for picking parts up!!

Let me know what you think!

How come you didn't stay with the 8v TDI? Apart from the fact its not as easy to get 300hp

Dom wants me to bag it. Haha. Sorry, but I love my KWs.

Got some pics of the Caddy after we had it stickered up. Really pleased with how it has turned out:

New pics of the completed Interior too:

Just trawling through all the Videos and Pictures from Santa Pod, but managed to find this one. Scott in the Caddy and me in the Jetta.

Darkside Developments Jetta 2.0 TDI vs Darkside Caddy 2K 2.0 TDI - YouTube

Not the fastest run of the day (it was the first one!) but still not too bad!

                          Cheers
