Car's looking very nice mate, I am a real fan of the Jazz Blue. To jack my car up I just bought a low profile jack to make things a bit easier, but I still need to drive up onto pieces of wood first.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Thanks mate, yeah I love the colour hey. Someone told me to get it sprayed/wrapped matte black which, while it could look pretty cool, would be expensive and not the look I'm going for. Do you have any idea as to what constitutes as a 'low profile' jack (ie. how low at the highest point on its lowest setting)?

sam, looks great.
WRT your thoughts on spacers, just be aware that they aren't legal in WA and they will earn you a sticker if you misbehave, and might invalidate your insurance if you need to make a claim.
I'm not rying to dampen your spirits, but just want you to make an informed decision2007 Audi RS4 with: APR ECU Upgrade; JHM Quick Shifter; Milltek Catback and Downpipes; KW V3 Coilovers; Argon Creative Carbon Fibre Splitters

Thanks manLove your RS4!
Yeah, I was aware that they're illegal in WA but I figure it's the same as the coilover height; it'll take me like an hours work to push the ride height up and bring in the wheels (if/when I do get spacers) so it won't be such an effort to take it over the pits. I know I won't have the same spirit if I do get yellow'd, thoughThank you for the information
I replaced the globe behind the heating cluster today which has been bugging me at night for a few months. Can't see if it's working during the day, so I'll test it tonight.
Also today I removed the adjustment ring from the rear coils, sits a bit lower which is great. Got a wheel alignment too, which went pretty well.

I got mine from Repco, $3.45 for two. 12v and 1.2W if I recall correctly, it's a tiny globe and it mounts with the contacts horizontal. I tested it; it works great. Considering taking out the piece of red plastic and coating it with blue to make the interior match a bit more. It's all in the small details

Thanks sam,
That sounds like a nice cheap price to me!
For a second there, I'd forgot what the outside colour of your car was, now I get it, sounds like a good idea to do the plastic internals blue. Instagram fo life. I think I'm gonna sell / send to scrap metal these wheels and buy another set with better offsets, as opposed to spacing them out. Maybe. The car might have to be put on the backburner for a while given I'm back at uni now and need a reliable daily, unfortunately.

what offset and width are those again?

Yeah, I sent you a PM about your 19s ages ago before I bought these wheels. Not too sure on the widths, fairly sure they're like +35 offset; same as stock. I bought these wheels as I had damaged my stock wheels and couldn't drive the car anymore, so I didn't have time to do any research and bought them without knowing about things like offsets and widths. My next set will be much better
