Hi Dom, welcome to the forum!

I think you will find this place very helpful in aidng you with anything DUB!

Thats a very nice mk1, with that colour paint you can easily give it the retro/euro look.....im talkin' the small chrome bumpers and chrome trim, dropped on a set of 14 or 15" BBs....etc....

Yeah good buy mate, the car has a 1.8 GTI engine and a close ratio 5 speed from the UK. Still has standard carby, an upgrade would give you a few more horsies The dash is the best I have seen in a Mk1, look after it.

                        Great looking car
You're lucky to have one in that condition...
That carby has got to go though - must be strangling the 1.8

hell yes bro, cant wait to hit up tas again,
(and this is notice to all whom are concerned lol)
ive been getting the car checked out as it developed a misfire n **** on the way back from sydders, (then needed some other things done also)
and had to get a safety cert (today) for rego, so its now officially a qld'er.
the guy that did it said "it goes like a scalded cat"
im guessin thats a good thing lmao.

but yeah, after june all the work will be getting done, head to toe,
paint, rims, head work, cam, carbs, interior, etc etc. you know the drill.
so i may be looking for parts suppliers on the goldy?? anyone?
ok, brisbane at the furthest lol.

aaand i think i might make this post my project information bit,
or put somethin in resto section for peeps to look at. but thats 1 month away.
                              peasche.
