Nice pic - the semi darkness gives the car an air of mystique ...

Are you leaving the plate holder on it?

Longer exposure time would loose some of the darkness and make a better photo, mind you it's not bad, just my opinion.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

but then you start to loose definition in the little details like lights and curve lines ect, the ISO looks to be abit high though, top stuff none the less!

Cheers for the feedback guys. yes, the plate holder is staying for the meantime - the main reason being that the front bumper is coated with stone protection - similar to contact - and taking off the plate holder will leave an uncovered section. Was done before i bought the car and may damage the paint now if the adhesive is taken off.

I'm a very novice photographer - the only light at the time was a single external flash unit (Speedlite 430EX) and the orange lighting (which is only half as bright to the eye).

Looking at taking shots in a well lit under cover car park after dark to try and get more of a showroom brochure style shot - just not sure if my camera (EOS400D) or my skills are really capable enough to get the clarity I want.

all i can say is! just get a good tripod! and make sure your ISO is low otherwise your pics will turn out grainy, also to help set the settings on P, then work with that
