Have a look at the rear bush in the front wishbones. I'd be surprised if they don't need doing.

I have had loads of these wagons, including a G60, 9A, 2Es and 2 1.8GTs. Australia missed out on a really good/useful car with these.

    Cheers

ahh righto, im used to tuning the normal k-jet with twisting screws and other stuff i guess the electronics will work itself out, and yes gavin, a copy of the manual would be very very helpful!!!

knowing its an old lady who previously owned this car before, im assuming its running like poo because itll most likley have 91 octane fuel innit and has been doing so for quite a few years now, but all good, shell be getting some 98 octane stuff while im owning her,

i discoverd something interesting yesterday while stuffing around with the car, if the drivers door is open i can put down ANY window of the car, and yes..... without the key in the ignition! lol pretty interesting........

also saw a service sticker saying 130,000klm major service, ther car now has 134,000 onnit haha! so that needs to be done asap!

i dunno if you guys can see it, but this car apparently has a rare optional extra leather rear boot cover/slider that pulls over the rear tub, apparently that was a $1,000 optional extra back in the day and is rare as hell! but yeah, pretty cool thing to have

I'll dig it out and get your address then Dom.

Those covers were std issue on certain trim levels. All GL and GTs had them. The base models were the only ones to miss out in the UK. They were silly money to buy after you got the car. As were the roof rails.

Just be really careful not to break any of the plastic work!!

How many times have you got out of a car and left the windows down.... A well thought out feature keeping the windows alive with the door open.

          Heads to garage,

          Gavin

dude!!! lol in order to get bags, the yellow mk1 needs to go, im not touching my worthersee cash and ill still have some left over to put into the worthersee fund

            its win win!

ahh yeah gavin i understand now, pretty cool idea, had no idea vw did something like that, i only knew of the mk3 golfs allowing the windows to be put up or down if the keys are out and the door is closed... once they open the windows stop working
