No. The light comes on only when there is a problems and the ecu can't start regeneration. Get it scanned to be sure, otherwise get a bottle of Penrite DPF Cleaner and go for a good long drive.

Or stick it in 3 rd gear drive for 15 to 20 km at around 80kmh that will force the regeneration , I do this from time to time as my wife only does short trips even though the light has not come on yet .
