How to disengage auto shifter without key??

Want to move auto shifter from park into neutral and back into park again.. Got no key and looking at towing vehicle to locksmiths..

Can anyone give some guidance please??

Vehicle is a 2005 VW Transporter T5 2.5 TDI

Pull the cover off around the shifter, there should be a yellow tab down the side you can press, from memory.
