My van went in for its 90k service yesterday. Dropped in at 8am & Was told it would be ready by 2pm.
Get a text from them at 1230 saying it's ready to go. So pick it up and head home only to find a lovely little document sitting on the floor.

I now know why my last rear Tyres didn't last so long & am also wondering if it's a possible cause of rear brakes being worn out before fronts too.

I'm also left wondering why they didn't call me to upsell the alignment service but regardless called them back and Booked it back in this morning for the alignment (my trusty local tyre place can't fit my Van on the hoist with the aligning gear)

Anyway it's all driving nice and straight now except my steering wheel is like this when going straight
It doesn't drift left or right if you let go of the wheel just sits out of level.

    Can that be fixed?
Should I also get Tyres rotated now alignment had been done? I've done 15k on them since this time last year when they were fitted.

Crooked steering wheel is an easy fix - they just have to adjust the tie rods underneath. Don't let them remove / adjust the steering wheel.

You'd be wondering how good a job they've done (with cambers, etc) if they are happy to release that to a customer.

An hour? It would be a 10 minute job (maximum).

Keep an eye on it as I would question their ability to do the job properly if it takes an hour to loosen 2 locknuts and screw 1 steering arm inwards half a turn and 1 steering arm outwards half a turn.

It took them longer as I drove in unannounced and the hoists were all being used. They took it across the road to another workshop and did it there. They were up front about the time and I could see it being done over there from
            The waiting room massage chairs.
It went up on the hoist over there. Then for a drive, then back again and jacked up on a trolley jack for a few minutes, then another drive.
            Has come back almost 100%

That tyre in the OP looks like it's well and truly on the wear indicators anyway, but I agree that an alignment would have avoided that.

Either I've been lucky (over 130,000km) or my tyre place was doing an alignment for me as my wear has always been pretty even. Now that I'm in another state though I'll have to make sure it's looked at properly.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
