Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Side steps/ running boards

New to this forum but have reading the post for a couple of weeks. About to receive a multivan for transporting my family and our toys.
Been look at getting some side steps just a simple matt black pipe to limit the under panel damage and shopping trolley dents for when it's in wife mode.
Only ones I have found in Australia where $800. Would love to support local but when I can buy some from the UK for $250 with another $250 for postage I may have to get them from over seas.

    Please any help.
we need a site like trade vans here in Aus

The trouble with Australia is our small market , not many manufactures would bother with the production cost for something that would have limited sales . That may be why the cost for local is so expensive compared to Europe .

UK would be your best bet.

They're all the rage on modified vans over there.
