  • Heat reflective tape. Has anyone used it in engine bay?

I have noticed that on long trips my intake temp sits around 40-45deg even if its raining outside. I assume this is due to heat soak.
I have read a little about a gold reflective tape to wrap the entire intake tube in.
Has anyone done it, or similar?
Is there any other way to reduce under hood temps?

I've seen it done a few times. I have no idea whether it works but space ships seem to like it.
