After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

    New T5 Key Fob.

    Morning all.

    The Margaret River Beach just gobbled up my 2 button Key Fob.....
    Does anyone out there in VW land know where to buy (apart from Dealer) a New Remote Key (after market possibly, if they are any good) for my 2008 T5...?
    I understand that I will need it cut, then programmed, also.

    Whats the part number on the remote you you have? Is it 1J0 959 753 CT

    I have a lot of these aftermarket remotes and keys available. Where about in Melbourne are you?

            Hi AA,
            As my note states I am in Margaret River...
            the remaining genuine remote that I have, does not have a part number on it. Though having browsed the internet that number does seem to be for the 2 button remote. At the moment I have found someone in Bunbury who says that he can help me with an after market remote, key cutting and programming. Until its in my hand and working, Im still open to options. I will know tomorrow if the Bunbury connection can supply my key needs. Thanks.

              New Key Fob, cut, programmed and Key Number supplied for possible future cuts. $242.00 from Bunbury Auto Electronics.
              A better option for me than the $600-$700 I was quoted from the Local Dealer, and that was with a 2 week wait.

                Bugger! for me. Just ordered service key from local VW in Ipswich -$215 and it will be another $60 to have it programmed when it gets here.
