Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    T5 front seats upgrade

    I'm looking to upgrade the van seats to leather captains seats from an 2006 multi van -
    Are there any fitting issues I should be aware of?
    and...
    Is anyone in Vic/ Melbourne interested in buying the original 2 fabric/ vinyl trim (drivers side captains seat)

    I think you will find they will bolt straight in with no mods needed .

      Thanks Sunny, what about the wire harness for the seat belt? Do you know if thats a straight fit too, or will i need to splice & solder?

        I would imagine it should be the same cannot see a reason for VW to fit a different connector .
