No I did not relate the DSG problem to Transporters I said VW but in saying that I still have lingering doubts as I have reported only a month or two after we purchased ours new , twice it let us roll backwards down a steep hill when it failed to engage drive . I selected D1 foot off brake and it just revved its tits off and rolled backwards this was not the hill hold feature it was just plain neutral no drive . This happened twice and was reported to the dealer typically you get the quizzical look from the service people who have no clue as to why .
My friends T5 same model as ours the one with the DPF problem also displays some lumpy changes as well in the DSG I have driven his van a couple of times since he purchased it and have noted the difference from when it was new , his has only 40.000 kays . You all know what happened to our first T5 and as you would understand $11000 is nothing to just laugh off on repairs to a perfectly good van with low kays , just because a simple filter change would have saved its life .Oh last thing I have been monitoring VW Australia's Facebook page and there have been others with Transporter DSG problems just because they are not on this one does not mean they have not happened . Sorry to drag this one on but it still burns me to this day .
