  • 2007 Multivan Comfortline Rubber

    Hi,

I need new tyres for my 2007 Comfortline 2.5 TDI auto & have failed abysmally to have the local VW agent or VW themselves suggest what I might fit - not recommend - just suggest what they fit in the way of 215/65 x 16 tyres. I ran the OEM Bridgestones the first two times, then got conned into fitting some Badyears that won't hold air or the road particularly well. I have fond memories of the Contis that were OEM on my T4 transporter & thought the equivalent might be a go, or Michelins or back to the Bridgestones. Heck, you can get Pirellis for $150 a corner here this week, but they spec up like being a tad hard & maybe more commercial than passenger oriented.

Anybody happy with how they've solved this issue?

    Cheers, John

Yes stay away from VW dealers their advice should be taken with a pinch of salt , best to find a good tyre retailer and find one who you can talk about your needs . I have for the past 8 years used Keith 4 Wheels they are at Underwood in Brisbane real nice people and good prices . What you have to make sure off is to have the correct rating on the new tyres , many of the forum members will be able to give you a selection . At the moment we have Federal Formoza FDR on two of our T5's and they are very good in all conditions .
