Whilst not quite a shmick as yours here is my son's T4 which is currently up for sale as he has turned traitor and bought an Holden Astra , admittedly the main reason for having this van was so he could take his MX bike racing and riding etc . Lots of extras and runs very strong central locking with window close function built in electric sunroof cruise control 15 inch DVD roof mount player and a stereo that kills fully trimmed and sound proofed http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...y-3785-22.html

Already started to do a few mods. Well just making it look clean.
Painted my grill black as I don't like the colour coded grills.

Hey Scotty did you take the grill off to paint that or just tape around it? If so how did you get it off. Mine has been ****ting me for ages! Also did you take the badge out?

Hi Kables, Take the grill out!! you get a much better job. its not that hard to remove upper and lower grills.
For the top grill there only a few screws and its off. The plastic gill is just clipped in the surround trim.
For the lower grill you will have to remove the lower painted panel complete.
To remove the lower panel, remove the indicators and there are screws in each corner. Three screws in the front of the lower grill then just pull the panel forward and its off.
Then there are a few clips holding the plastic grill to the panel.
I just gave the grills a very light rub with wet and dry and a good plastic primer. The black paint was from bunnings, Dulux Flat black spray can.
I was concerned about the black finnish as i wanted it to look like standard black p
