Possibly one of the seatbelt stalks.

If I am not mistaken is there is a sensor under each seat which tells the airbag if someone is actually seated not just the belt being plugged in , maybe another option to look at .

Transporters dont have the seat sensor from memory..some passenger cars do...but only on the left front seat...its not required on the drivers seat as the abs sees a rotation speed then it knows theres got to be a driver...the seat sensor is not used used for the airbags. Only used to indicate a passenger sat in that seat...the airbags will deploy if people in the car or not.. seatbelt stalk 90% will be your issue or trapped wire under the seat.......VDUB...
