  • Adelaide Panel Beater

    Hi

So I got my folks in brisbane to pick up my new 2012 transporter and within 2 hours someone hit them from behind while stationary at the servo.

The van arrives friday, does anyone know of a good panel beater to get a quote and repairs?

Which area in Adelaide do you live?
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

I live in Black Forest but anywhere not too far out of the way would be fine. More interested in workmanship than location

If you have choice of repairer and have a late model car I would go to Specific Prestige in Keswick. They are a specialist VW repairer and generally replace with brand new OEM parts rather than repair with second hand bits.

I'm yet to see the quality of the workmanship at ME Dale where they're promising me the 3rd Monday already that my van will get the tailgate replaced after the reversing truck driver hit my raised tailgate from the side completely destroying it. The ME Dale Crash communication to customer is so bad, that I don't wish it on anyone who use the vehicle for a business. The amount of jobs I had to reschedule makes operating business very difficult. I also lost some customers who went elsewhere to get their vehicle serviced/repaired, because of their lack of comunication. . So, I know where not to go next time.

Just had my Multivan repaired at City Collision on Waymouth St after my wife decided to side swipe a retaining wall.

Good comm's and good work. Fixed in a week.

It was a nice touch that she didn't tell me and left me to discover it a couple of days later when I drove to work. Apparently the sound of brick hitting metal sounds a lot like driving over a small stick....so I have been told.

hahaha. Cheers. I need two quotes for QBE so i'll make this the second place. Cant put a claim in yet though as it's so new it's under cover note. Have to wait for the first payment to come out

I spoke to my friend in Adelaide and they also backed up Tigger73 with Specific Prestige as a good place for quality work .

Specific Prestige is where Solitaire VW send all there vehicles.

I had them repair the Multivan when I bumped the front wing bumper and bonnet.

Excellent service and the job was spot on.

Went to Specific Prestige, they seem good... but QBE needs 2 quotes.

Who's ridiculously expensive so I can be sure QBE will pick Specific Prestige

At least that way you get a quote from 2 good crash shops and you know you'll get a good job either way.
