my son has a 2005 t5 lwb, and want's to install a middle bench seat. currently it has a carpeted timber floor and insides, so without pulling it apart, does the t5 come with mounting points for original seats and seat belts?
cheers
eric
Unless it was an option in that model I doubt it . You still can fit an extra seat as long as you follow safe engineering practices and have it complied by a certified officer . I used to do this sort of work at my old business on the Gold Coast we used to build seats and have them certified for ADR's . Please make sure you get some advice as remember someone's life is at risk if its not done correctly and one last thing all seat belts should be new second hand ones are not generally allowed to be fitted as their history is not known and they may have been contaminated or been in an accident and therefore stretched to their limit . There are some factory mounting points in the vans but you will still need to fit special sized plates for non factory points . You can buy the plates from a few specialty places in Brisbane I recently used this company ALL VAN MOD'S they are at Slacks Creek Moss st . Send me a PM if you need some help .
