  • Squealing Brakes

Towards the end of last year I bought at 2012 TD 1340 Comfortline Multivan. I have been very happy with the purchase except for the fact that although the vehicle has covered less than 3000km the brakes are squealing.

This happens just as you are about to stop and the speed has drooped to 10-15km per hour. It is more of a nuisance than a problem but I was wondering if anybody else had had this issue, in what is effectively a new vehicle, and what the solution was.

    Thanks in anticipation.

Came across this a few days back when looking into brake upgrades and weighing up track or street oriented pads.

Perhaps go find a quiet stretch and get some heat in to the pads and rotors.

The brakes warranty is usually 20,000km, so get your dealer look at that. It could be just a glazed brakes.

Yes I did this last week after fitting new rotors and pads first few stops I thought hmm not real crash hot but then after afew more runs spot on response , now they are perfect just very light pressure for normal stops .
