  • Storage solution - cargo area - ideas please

This is for the back of the Multivan. My wife is looking for solutions to store two strollers upright, preferably strapped against each side of the boot, to keep the middle of the boot relatively free.

There aren't any attachment points in the side walls of the boot area that I can see, but I see there are the D-rings at the end of each seat rail on boot floor. One idea I had was to use a D-ring and one of the posts of the bench seat headrest as the end points for these ROK straps:

    ROK Straps

    What do you guys do?

You can buy from motor bike shops and Bunnings chrome tie downs we use them in our T5 and T4 to hold MX bikes . you only need to drill a small hole as the locking plate folds up and springs open once through the metal , they look quite neat.

FYI - we put ours up against the back of the seat with a cam strap and use the top tether points to loop through.

Top tether points? If you're referring to the child anchor seat tether points, on mine they are on the back of the bench seat..?

Whilst that is a good idea there is one concern , when we used to do child seat anchor point installations for non equipped vehicles , the one thing we found through testing was the standards were designed to allow for the seat back to withstand its own weight in deceleration tests . If you placed any article or load against the seat back it could result in a premature failure as the weight of any object in a 60kay collision more than increases the weight of that object by more than twenty times so a stroller weighing say 10 kilos becomes 200 kilos , the end result could be if a child was in that same seat the backrest could collapse on top of them . We had conducted test to the Australian standards , but this is only my advise . Regards Howard

Yes they are the very same ones we use for our MX bikes .
