  • Vw t5 genuine spare parts best place to purchase

    hI everyone

Can anyone suggest best place to buy GENUINE spare parts online. Hopefully somewhere I can look up part numbers
I have an 09 Lwb my good wife smashed the mirror on the drivers side.

Solitaire Adelaide want $205 just for the glass !!!!!!!! extortion. It is heated and has the blind spot but PLEASE $2oo bucks
Have bought things from Poole vw on Ebay uk and they sell the surround for the mirror about $60 but the mirror I cant find.
I would also like to do some other MODS with genuine parts

Heated seats- need the elements for drivers seat and double passenger I already have the switches and cables
    Fog lights-
wipers- caravelle ones are the go apparently current ones are crap
Blinds- would like the california ones for the windscreen and side front windows
Engine cover, chrome inner door openers that are in the multivan, etc etc

Thanks any suggestions would be great

I cant help with online places but I do agree about the cost of the glass -mirror I had to complain to my VW dealer as my van did not even have heated mirrors but they tried to stitch me up for one as they calimed that all they could get even though a non heated one had been bought at an earlier time from the same dealer . I thought the heated mirrors was standard on all T5's.

As we got our T5,s right at the time of first release they were all over the shop on items fitted my work T5 for instance has a button on the ds door trim next to the window buttons which will lock and unlock all the doors our family one does not and there are some other differences but both of them do not have heated mirrors . I lost the glass in mine due to ****wit courier that swiped my mirror in traffic and bought one off ebay. Non OEM heated and concave $25 inc Del.

It was a perfect fit but used double sided tape on a cheap plastic plate to attach. It would vibrate like crazy while driving and eventually (about 3 days later) fell off when the tape let go on the first hot Adelaide day after I put it in.

Tried eBay Germany, but the mirrors are concaved different for driving on the wrong side of the road. Ended up having to buy from Solitaire. What was laughable was that I could get a genuine VW mirror from eBay Germany (LHD of course), pay $60 postage and it still ended up being almost half the price of the one from Solitaire. Go figure.

Wrecker might be an option Anyone got any parts from a wrecker in Adelaide?

Have got a price from Breezepool vw in UK for the mirror 52 pounds about $76
Think I will order it with some other parts.

Hornsby Spares in Thornleigh I dealt with recently had a few T5 in the yard, I picked up a cup holder assembly and there are a few other bits I will head back for.
