Hi Hajb I have had two VW vans since 2000 one T4 and current T5 we have two diasbled kids that are confined to wheelchairs , I used to have a business on the Gold Coast fitting out vans etc with wheel chair lifts etc . But believe it or not I refused to fit a lift to either of our vans as I know the problems associated with them . As both our kids are pushed they do not need a lift I can reccommend Prarie View Industries they have a variety of wheeel chair ramps as a much cheaper alternative to lifts . The big plus is that they are removed if required with only four screws they only take up a tiny amount of space and you can unfold them and fold them in a matter of seconds here is a photo of a side mounted one we have ours on the rear its inside and folds out .Regards Howard [IMG][/IMG]
Forgot to mention check headroom as with some interiors like a caravelle with air con in the roof can make head room a bit tight , we bought standard vans so to speak and did a custom fitout myself so as to have maximum headroom and seat layout to hold an extra two pasengers . If you like I can send some pics of our van . HowardLast edited by Sunny43.5; 11-01-2012, 08:08 PM.

Hi,
I have a 2008 Multivan and have a Ricon rear lift installed. Cost $10K installed including floor retractable belts. Installed by Norden in Melb. The rear was moved to the middle and one of the captains chairs moved to the third row along side where the wheel chair sits. Plenty of head room once in the vehicle, but can be a little tight with the rear tail gate up and the hoist in lift position when pushing the wheel chair wityh person in. The differing heights wheelchairs can dramitically impact headroom. Aim to have wheelchairs with the lowest centre of gravity possible.

Scott
