I was giving the van a bit of a spring clean and wanted to clean the area under the windscreen.
I tried to remove the plenum chamber cover (plastic tray under windshield) yesterday. I took off my wiper arms and unclipped the single cable clip on the passenger side. The hard bit came when I tried to remove the actual cover.
The manual simply states:
- remove seal (rubber strip binding plenum cover with engine bay - easy as it is simply pressed on)
- lift water box cover (?) up on one side until clips in guide rail are released
- carefully unclip plenum chamber cover out upwards
I only appear to have a single piece of plastic in my van. I am assuming the water box cover and plenum chamber cover are one item.
I tried lifting it, sliding it and it only budged a couple millimeters. If I applied any more pressure it felt like the plastic would crack.
Has anyone removed it before?
