  • Seat Belt warning alarm.

I dont know about anyone else but i find the seatbelt not on warning noise quite annoying when im not actually needing to be wearing the seat belt.
Has anyone found a way of turning this off or disconnecting it? (short of putting it in the clip) . I was thinking there might be a way of bridging it out down on the clip/reciever.Has anyone every done this?
    Thanks
    Roger

      There's a connector under the driver's seat.Disconnect it.

Or not. You'll have an annoying Airbag Fault ding.

As Transporter suggested, get a dealership to code it out, or just plug the seatbelt in, then hop in.

You can even buy seat belt clips for this purpose !

Another option I did once on an Astra was with the key in switch it would chime even when you were listening to the radio with a door open . I found the darling little chimer in the centre of the fuse box , I got a 5 ml drill bit and drilled its bloody annoying heart out !!! .Howard PS I am not suggesting this line as there are so many warning chimes that knowing todays technology you would probably cause the van to have a heart attack and stop working .

I closed this thread, since the topic is now covered in the VCDS resources (section of the vwwatercooled forum). http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...tml#post705036

Also, there is post in the "How to do this and that" stickie in our forum, should you later have a need to find that post.
