DPF....delete?

Had a read through the DPF article. From what I can make out, the pressure difference is what triggers the need for regeneration. The temp sensors are used to determine how much extra fuel is required to get them the DPF up to regeneration temps. So....if the filter element is knocked out and the pressure is equal before and after there should be no need to regenerate??
Anyone else read it? Whats your interpretation?

There is this one I have posted before somewhere and got chastised for it but hey its a free world T5 DE-DPF pipe, T5 dpf pipe
Over on the Brickyard there is some more in depth discussion on the removal etc and also the pro,s and con,s of the DPF , one of the interesting ones I read was that when the DPF starts to block it builds up back pressure and more heat is generated at the engine which mainly on the twin turbo model can cause some sort of component failure due to excessive heat , then add in the fact that if your van is not driven hard or only does short trips it can cause breakdowns or loss of power [my mates one has had this happen ] the dealer told him they had several cases of this problem with T5,s . I will stand corrected on any info that differs .Last edited by Sunny43.5; 31-03-2013, 11:02 AM.

The problem with that delete pipe is there is no provision for the sensor pipes. Other software might be ok with deleting the sensor as well. However, I know that in the UK Custom-Code require it to remain.
