Hi all I would like to give a huge thanks to Jmac {Jimmy} here in Brisbane if any of you have seen my last few postings about my two transplants you would know that I have been having trouble getting the old 2.4 diesel started after transplanting it into another donor van . After a whole week of stuffing around with bleeding the injector pump checking and rechecking endless wiring connectors fuses relays blah blah . Jimmy hit the nail on the head as it turned out the only component that I did not change was the immobiliser , the problem was solved by holding the key from our other van next to the key on the diesel van and bingo it started . So next job is to swap immobilers over and hope alls well . Here is the interesting part My sons van that we fitted the donor 2.5 petrol engine into started third throw of the key and that was with its original immobiliser . Now the donor van wouldn,t start until the other key was held next to it very bizzare . Any way thanks Jim I really appreciate your help especially on a Sunday arvo [all done over the phone by the way] Regards Howard [Sunny 43.5]
