2011 T5 4motion RCD 310 no Ipod Dock

Hi

I received my optioned up T5 Duel Cab this week, and I ordered a RCD 310, I had the understanding the RCD 310 came with Ipod connectivity, well Mine only has the AUX in in the glove box. Seems maybe I have to fit it myself or get the dealer to fit it maybe during first service? Is it easy to fit myself? if so what kit would I need to buy for this to work?.
I would love to buy the RCD 510 someday but I dont know if that is on the top of my list atm, because I have many other things I need atm like suspension helper bags ect.

yup, you need to get the VW MDI installed. I've just purchased an aux from ebay for my 510. there are a few other options available from places like kufatec.de rather than the VW one. they are not cheap! I'd just like a few more power sockets to start with!

Just go with the rcd 510 around $250 on ebay 2 minute change over and just run a sd card

If you have the MDI you will have this in your glovebox ....



And if the cable is USB at the end, you should ask your dealer for the Ipod cable.



If you don't have this MDI connection under the Aux plug then you will not be able to use an Ipod with any OEM radio and will have to have it retrofitted. Can be bought off ebay or from your dealer.

Personally I'd have a go at the dealer .....
