  • New van next week....and a question.

I should get my new Transporter van next week. It is a LWB, 132kw, DSG with the following options:
    Body coloured bumpers 2JG
PDC (Park distance control) front and rear 7X2
    Second sliding door 5R2
Wing doors with heated windows ZH1
    Fixed window (centre left) 4FT
    Fixed window (centre right) 4JT
    Cruise control 8T1
Double passenger bench seat with table (front) 3TS
Drivers seat comfort pack (height, lumbar, armrests) ZS4
    Multi-function trip computer 9Q1
Leather multi-function steering wheel with upgraded trip computer and Bluetooth ZE7
RNS 510 Satellite navigation and radio Z1J

Question: 4 years ago, my brother bought a new Renault van (poor bastard), with his van, Renault gave give plans to make a wooden floor.
Does VW, or anyone on here have something similar?

Sorry can't help with floor plan as I ordered the factory wooden floor and an aftermarket rubber mat as the floor anchor points were better integrated then me doing it myself. One thing I noticed in your list was the cruise control. Wasn't that standard as part of ordering the 132kW engine? Nice spec list by the way...we do expect photos please.

Thanks for the compliment, but what do you think of the van?

        It is Olympic Blue.

Try Motexion for the floor. Another forum member (T5Pete) recommended them and I had a look. They do a very nice floor for the money.

If you want to do it yourself, I can email you the VW dimensioned drawing for the T5. Not sure if there has been any internal changes with the update.

BTW - Please take a photo of the table that comes with the double bench seat. I've never heard of the option.

Its all under control.....the Motexion bulkhead and floor are going in on Thursday.

I'll put some pics up on Friday. In the meantime, here is a stock photo of the front seat:

I like that seat. Wish I'd got the upgraded seats, standard don't have enough lumbar support. maybe I'll throw some recaro's in..
132kw LWB Van. Not a tradie..

If anyone with a van is looking for some cheap storage compartments for their van, Ikea has these bins in their kitchen section. Great for holding ropes, rags etc.

Not sure if cruise is standard on the 132, but what I do know is that there's no dealer fit option for cruise. It's factory-fit only!

All 132kw come standard with cruise. Its an option on the other T5's

                            Guys.......I am a shattered man.......

My brand new van has an oil leak. I took it back to the dealer (whom I do not blame) to get the oil leak fixed. This should not happen on a new car.
They took the transmission out, and found a deformed rear main seal. So, they ordered a new one and fitted it today. I was desperate to get my van back, as I am heading off to the salt lakes in South Australia for some speed records.
I got the call saying that after a test drive, the oil leak is still there. I am so pissed at the moment.
My dealer is doing what they can for me, lending me another van.
The guys in the factory next door to me were in the market for a new van, but they have now crossed the VW off their list.

Sorry guys, I just had to vent.....

@IN2VWS - I can sympathise with your plight.

I hope you get it sorted. It can be very hard to stomach after paying a premium for a "quality" brand.
