Comparing a few specs the other day, the new 4 cylinder has the same bore and stroke as the old 5 cyl. If the 5 had the same new common rail induction system even with single turbo a power rating of 150kw and 500nm would be an easy factory setting, and the chip tuners would have a ball. I'am sure there would be factory mules running around some where in the world with common rail 5's.
Yes there are gearbox limitions with the 5 but what do you think [or have heard], is the 5 in the transporter dead, or will it be back??
