Hi Aaron (and Mrs Hawk of course),

Congratulations. Nice to see the trend reversed. I bought my van from Trakka (Mt Kurangai), and drove it back to Melbourne.

Say Hi to David Blackwood (MD) at Bayford's for me. He's been good enough to host the Volkswagen Club for our August general meeting at their new showrooms. He actually sounds like a bit of a petrol head himself. I'd come out and have a look for myself when you pick up, but I'm working in Mallacoota this week.

I see the title of this thread is "The Hawk's new Multivan" I do believe it's actually Mrs Hawk's new Multivan

That said, Mr Hawk is far more excited about Dexter than me at the moment LOL!

He certainly did & he still had the big silly grin on his face when he got home at 8pm LOL!

Right now he's outside cleaning all the bugs off the new baby!

Congrats, thats a really nice looking van.

Funny but until you have one you dont really notice how good they look ( OK I only have a T4 but I am spotting loads of T5's).

And then some, it's going to be very hard to hand over the keys

I'll write up a full review that, but just quickly, the DSG was just so smooth all the way home, power wise the 103 is excellent and even on it's first 800km the consumption (on the freeway) is down to 7.8l/100km.

This mornings task it getting a blue slip and some (intertim) number plates.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Really nice van, I like that colour, the wheels look better than the previous model without the angled bit to get scraped on gutters. Did you remove the table from the rear or do the new models not have it? Also how does the light affect the screen on the pioneer satnav, our aftermarket nav gets too washed out due to the massive amount of light through the windscreen.
