Really good news, I am pleased for you. Maybe VW read these forums.

Thats true..you never know... what a relief. I don't know all the details yet as I have picked her up after hours so I will sort something out on Monday. I am thinking of getting the bonnet resprayed when they get the rust cut out. It's getting stonechips and I want to cover it in that clear film.

VW read these forums?? I doubt it very much! If they did I would have the Volkswagen Magazine sent to me instead of "customers" who no longer own VWs.

Went in today to get the rust removed and bonnet resprayed. I will be without her for a week!!! gave her a big hug across the bonnet and the panel beater laughed at me!!! How dare he!! I hope they look after her....

next week she drops her gearbox...

Back home safe and sound. Rust removed, gearbox fixed. Our new garage is almost finished so today was the first time I was able to park her in it

So nice to have her back..

                  T3 vs T4

Good to hear about the win Melissa.

As you know I have a T3 and seeing you have both a T3 and T4, I was wondering if you could tell me how the driving experience differs. Also, at the end of the day, what do you get a bigger smile from when you hop in?

The T3 actually looks bigger from the back in your photo. Is that true or just the perspective of the shot?

                      Ash,
The drive is completely different. The Bamboo Yellow and white T3 you see in the picture is an 83, auto and aircooled, we also have an 85, manual watercooled. The drive difference is huge between all three of them. My T4 has powersteering and feels like driving a luxury car...small steering wheel and very comfortable.

I dont think the T3 is bigger, its probably just the perspective.

Now as for the bigger smile??... well the Bus is just a cruisey laidback drive but my T4 is my passion..is that too over the top? My hubby drives the 85 and it's more of a beast. Go and have a drive at a dealer. I sat in a T5 the other day while waiting for my T4... even more luxurious.

I was given 2 copies of the lastest by Andrew Lloyd.

However it is odd that someone (I'm sure he is not the only one) who receives a Volkswagen Magazine, and no longer owns one.

Is is VERY difficult to find a newsagent to buy one, infact my Agent says they are not availble in Adelaide.

PS Sorry to Hijack the thread.
